CM Nayab Singh Saini chairs key meetings; 1,849 challans issued, ₹15.97 lakh penalty imposed
The Haryana Government has taken several major initiatives simultaneously to boost economic growth, promote clean energy, and strengthen environmental protection in the state. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired the first meeting of the “Industry–Labour Friendly Council” and emphasized that harmony between industries and workers is essential for sustained economic progress. He stated that Haryana is the first state in the country to constitute such a council to ensure better coordination between industrial development and workforce welfare.
The Chief Minister said the government is committed to ensuring “Ease of Doing Business” for industries and “Ease of Living” for workers. The Council will focus on worker safety, resolution of industrial disputes, and skill upgradation in technical institutions such as ITIs. Nearly two lakh micro and medium enterprises operating outside designated industrial areas have been given an opportunity to regularize themselves through a dedicated portal launched on December 25, 2025, enabling them to avail benefits under various government schemes. The government has also approved concessional land for ESIC hospitals, affordable dormitory housing for industrial workers, and development of multi-level parking facilities in space-constrained industrial areas.
Meanwhile, for effective implementation of the “PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana,” the state has constituted a State-Level Coordination Committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi. The committee will prepare an action plan for installing rooftop solar plants on government buildings and ensure inter-departmental coordination to accelerate solar adoption across the state.
In a strong move against plastic pollution, the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) issued 1,849 challans over the past four weeks and imposed environmental compensation amounting to ₹15.97 lakh for violations of Plastic Waste Management Rules. The Board reiterated its zero-tolerance policy toward non-compliance, underscoring that environmental protection and public health remain top priorities.
These combined initiatives reflect the state government’s focused approach toward industrial growth, renewable energy expansion, and sustainable environmental management.
