The Tourism Department is thrilled to announce the debut of the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Spring Carnival, set to enchant visitors from 25 to 29 February in the picturesque town of Dharamshala. Under the visionary leadership of RS Bali, Chairman of the Tourism Development Corporation, this event aims to elevate Kangra district as the quintessential tourism capital, fostering large-scale efforts to enhance the overall tourist experience.
Bali underscored the commitment to a strategic action plan, designed to not only bolster infrastructure development but also present grand programs that will captivate audiences at various levels. The ambitious goal is to boost tourist numbers from three crore to five crore over the next five years.
Highlighting the festivities, Bali revealed that the Himachal Tourism Spring Carnival will feature five Star Nights, an unprecedented addition to the event. Renowned artists are set to grace these evenings, providing entertainment to both tourists and locals alike. Adding a competitive edge, the Voice of Dhauladhar singing competition and a groundbreaking Brass Band Contest will make their debut, offering Himachal's talented musicians a platform to showcase their artistry.
In addition to musical delights, diverse artist groups will present captivating performances of traditional Himachali dance throughout the carnival. A gastronomic treat awaits visitors with a delectable food festival, complemented by an exhibition showcasing Himachali art and cultural treasures.
A unique feature of the carnival is the Traditional Costume Fashion Show, set to steal the limelight as it becomes the center of attraction. RS Bali expressed the Tourism Department's ongoing commitment to hosting such events in Kangra district, aiming to consistently promote tourism and enrich the cultural tapestry of the region.
RS Bali has issued directives to the Tourism Department officials to ensure the seamless execution of the Spring Carnival, marking a significant milestone in Himachal Pradesh's cultural calendar. As anticipation builds, the inaugural Himachal Tourism Spring Carnival promises to be an unforgettable celebration of the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of the region.
