Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, during his visit to the Rohru Assembly constituency, inspected landslide-affected areas in the Tangnu-Janglik panchayat region and reviewed the damage caused to local infrastructure.
The Chief Minister inspected the Janglik road, which was recently blocked following a landslide, and sought details from officials regarding the condition of the road and ongoing restoration work.
During the inspection, Sukhu directed the concerned officials to restore the Janglik road and make it open to traffic within 10 days. He said the closure of the road was causing difficulties for local residents as well as orchardists in the area.
Chief Minister directed officials to speed up restoration work and take all necessary measures to ensure that connectivity is restored at the earliest.
Sukhu also announced ₹4 crore in additional funds for the completion of the under-construction Janglik bridge. The bridge is expected to strengthen connectivity in the region, and the government has emphasised expediting its construction after providing the additional funds.
In another announcement, the Chief Minister sanctioned ₹2 crore for the landslide-affected area of Thaintwadi village. He said the state government was committed to restoring normal life in disaster-affected areas and ensuring that affected people receive the necessary relief and facilities.
