Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today chaired a high-level meeting to review the preparations for the International Kullu Dussehra festival. He directed officials to ensure smooth arrangements for the event which is scheduled to take place from October 13 to October 19 this year. The Chief Minister also emphasized the need to complete all preparations within the specified timeframe. Sh. Sukhu also directed the Kullu administration to ensure proper arrangements for the deities participating in the Dussehra fair. He said that all necessary provisions should be made in accordance with the traditions and respect for the deities.
He said that this year International cultural troupes would be the main attraction of the event and approximately 20 International cultural troupes were expected to participate in the fair. So far cultural groups from Russia, Sri Lanka, USA, Indonesia, and Myanmar have confirmed their participation. Additionally, artists from Assam, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Haryana will also be showcasing their performances. Cultural groups from Himachal Pradesh will have the opportunity to display their talents in the fair as well.
