Independence Day was celebrated in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh today, with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Justice, MS Ramachandra Rao, followed by the National Anthem, played by Himachal Pradesh Home Guard Band.
The Chief Justice unfurled the National Flag and inspected the Guard of Honour. Judges of the High Court, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Justice Ajay Mohan Goel, Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Justice Satyen Vaidya, Justice Sushil Kukreja, Justice Ranjan Sharma, Justice Bipin Chander Negi and Justice Rakesh Kainthla were present on the occasion.
The Chairperson, H.P. State Human Rights Commission, Justice PS Rana, former Judges of High Court, Justice KC Sood, Justice VK Sharma, Advocate General, Senior Advocates, and other members of High Court Bar Association, Registrar General, Registrars, Judicial Officers posted at Shimla and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The officers and officials of the High Court Registry, District Courts Shimla, Office of the AG, ASGI of India, H.P. Judicial Academy, H.P. SLSA and other Offices based in HC premises participated in the ID celebrations.
