The Himachal Pradesh government has announced paid holidays on May 26, 28, and 30 for the upcoming Panchayati Raj Institution elections in the state.
According to an official notification issued by the General Administration Department, all government offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions, industrial establishments, as well as shops and commercial establishments located in the concerned Panchayati Raj areas will remain closed on these dates.
The paid holiday will also apply to daily wage employees and will be covered under Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
However, the election schedule will not apply to the gram panchayats of Karjan and Soyal in Naggar block of Kullu district, and Jabaan and Namhog in Anni block.
