Three people, including two great-grandsons of former MLA late Bhagat Ram, were killed in a horrific car accident near Narar village on Karnal Road in Haryana’s Kaithal district on Thursday night.

The deceased have been identified as brothers Rakshit (27) and Abhishek (29), residents of Khurana Road in Kaithal, and their neighbour, Krishan (38). The three had travelled to Karnal in a car and were returning to Kaithal when the accident occurred near the bus stop at Narar village.

The impact was so severe that the car was completely wrecked, with its front section breaking away from the vehicle. Both front tyres were also thrown several feet away, while the seats and dashboard were reduced to debris.

Police Cut Through Car to Retrieve Bodies

According to reports, passers-by informed the police by calling the emergency helpline 112. A police team rushed to the spot and had to cut through the damaged car to retrieve the bodies. All three occupants died at the scene.

The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital in Kaithal for post-mortem examinations.

An investigating officer said the exact cause of the accident had not yet been established.

However, a video from the accident site has surfaced, showing scattered vehicle parts lying near a tree. Police suspect that the car may have collided with the tree, though the circumstances are still being investigated.

Two Brothers Worked for Municipal Council

Rakshit and Abhishek were employed with the Municipal Council. Both were married, and Rakshit also had a son. Their father, Ashok Kumar, works at a company located nearby.

The deaths of the two brothers have plunged their family into grief. Their mother is inconsolable, while relatives and villagers have been visiting the family home to offer condolences.

Police are examining the accident site to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the fatal crash.
