An HRTC bus travelling from Manali to Pathankot overturned on the road near Bashang in Kullu district on Saturday morning, leaving five people injured.
The accident took place near Police Line Bashang at around 6 am. There were six people on board the bus, including four passengers, the driver and the conductor.
According to the information available, five people, including the driver, sustained injuries, while the conductor suffered minor injuries. All the injured were referred to the Regional Hospital, Kullu, for treatment.
The injured have been identified as Shyam Lal (45), son of Lala Ram, a resident of Baskola Katrain, Kullu; Krishna Thapa (42), son of Iman Thapa, a resident of Bandrol, Kullu; Chhaya Devi (25), wife of Rakesh Kumar, and Rakesh Kumar (31), son of Sardari Lal, both residents of Kuthaid in Pathankot; bus driver Manmohan Singh (42), son of Joginder Singh, a resident of Waht village in Chuwari; and conductor Praveen (46), son of Labh Singh, a resident of Khanni, Nurpur.
Further details about the cause of the accident and the condition of the injured are awaited.
