Following discussions with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri in Shimla today, various unions of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) have decided to withdraw their proposed strike.
Mukesh Agnihotri said that the state government and the HRTC remain dedicated and committed to serve the people of the state. He said that the HRTC is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year and decisive efforts are being made for overall improvement of the corporation and welfare of its employees.
He said the salaries and pensions of the HRTC employees and pensioners are being disbursed every month without any delay. The state government has extended the benefits of the old pension scheme to the employees of the corporation and recently released Rs. 5 crore for overtime allowances. He said that an additional Rs.10 crore for overtime allowances would be disbursed shortly to the corporation.
