Chandigarh Administration has undergone a major administrative reshuffle with the appointment of 2013-batch Punjab cadre IAS officer Harpreet Singh Sudan as Secretary in the Chandigarh Administration.
The appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) under an inter-cadre deputation arrangement for a period of three years.
According to the orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Harpreet Singh Sudan will serve in the Chandigarh Administration on deputation from the Punjab Government. The appointment received final approval following a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
At present, IAS officer Harpreet Singh Sudan is serving as the Director of Sports in the Punjab Government. Given his extensive administrative experience and expertise in sports management, his appointment is being viewed as a significant addition to the Chandigarh Administration's senior leadership.
