IAS Pankaj Aggarwal posted as new Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana

Haryana Government has issued posting and transfer orders of one IAS officer with immediate effect. Pankaj Agarwal a 2000 batch IAS officer has been posted as Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana and Commissioner & Secretary to Government, Elections Department.
While IAS Anurag Agarwal, who was the Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana, has been entrusted with the responsibility of Public Works Department and Irrigation and Water Resources Department.
Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad on Monday issued orders for the appointment of Pankaj Agarwal as the Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana. On last July 4, Pankaj Agarwal was removed from the post of Additional Chief Secretary of Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Caste, Backward Class and Antyodaya Welfare Department and Irrigation and Water Resources Department and placed in the waiting list for new appointment.
The state government had sent a panel of three IAS officers to the Election Commission of India for the Chief Electoral Officer, which included the names of Pankaj Aggarwal, A Mona Srinivas and PC Meena. Among them, the Commission has given green flag to the name of Pankaj Agarwal. Like former Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agarwal, new CEO Pankaj Agarwal has been counted among fair and honest IAS officers.
