Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the admission process for its PhD programmes for the July 2026 session. Eligible candidates can apply online from June 10 to July 1, 2026 through the university’s official admission portal.
The university is offering PhD admissions in 36 subjects, including Psychology, Political Science, Public Administration, Biochemistry, and Chemistry.
The application fee is ₹2,000. Candidates qualifying through UGC-NET/JRF will be exempt from the entrance test and will be shortlisted directly for the interview, while all applicants must appear for the Viva-Voce.
Selected scholars will be required to complete course work at the IGNOU headquarters in New Delhi with a minimum 80% attendance.
