Links to Foreign-Based Handlers; 8 Sophisticated Pistols and 45 Live Cartridges Recovered

In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police has busted an international arms smuggling racket and arrested four notorious accused involved in serious criminal activities. The operation, led by Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur, is being seen as a significant success in curbing organized crime in the state. During the action , police recovered 8 sophisticated foreign-made pistols along with 45 live cartridges from the possession of the accused, indicating the scale and seriousness of the network.

According to Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, all four accused were wanted in two separate murder cases and had been evading arrest for a long time. Acting on credible intelligence, police teams laid a trap and successfully apprehended the suspects red-handed along with the illegal weapons. The recovered arsenal includes one highly lethal PX5 pistol, one Turkey-made Zigana pistol, three .30 bore pistols, and three .32 bore pistols.

Preliminary investigation has revealed shocking links of the accused with foreign-based anti-national handlers. These handlers were not only supplying weapons but were also directing the accused in carrying out criminal activities. This confirms that the gang was part of a well-organized international syndicate attempting to disrupt law and order in Punjab.

Police have initiated further investigation to dismantle the entire network. The accused will be produced before the court, and police will seek their remand for detailed interrogation. Officials believe that more critical revelations and possible arrests may follow in the coming days as the probe progresses. This operation highlights Punjab Police’s vigilance and firm action against organized crime and cross-border threats.
