In a major crackdown on alleged immoral trafficking activities, the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police raided a spa operating in the Garha area and arrested one man and three women. The police claimed that the establishment, Royal Spa Massage Centre, was allegedly being used as a front for prostitution.
According to police officials, a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, and further investigation is underway.
Police Commissioner Satinder Singh said the operation was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Model Town) Manmohan Singh. SHO Ravinder Kumar of Division No. 7 Police Station was patrolling with his team near the Phase-1 Light Point when they received information from a reliable informer.
The informer allegedly told police that the Royal Spa Massage Centre, located opposite Taj Market in Chhoti Baradari Part-II, was involved in running an alleged prostitution racket under the cover of massage services. The informer further claimed that women were being kept at the centre and forced to engage in illegal activities.
Taking the input seriously, the police immediately planned and conducted a raid at the spa. During the inspection, officials said the information provided by the informer was found to be prima facie correct, following which a formal case was registered on 31 July 2026.
During the raid, police arrested a man identified as Ashok alias Aryan along with three women. Officials also seized objectionable material from the premises and took it into custody as evidence.
Police said the arrested man is originally a resident of Sainipura in Rohtak district, Haryana, and was currently residing in Rohini, Delhi.
Authorities stated that efforts are now focused on identifying other persons who may be connected to the alleged racket and determining how long the spa had been operating.
