PHAGWARA: The Vigilance Bureau Jalandhar team led SSP Vigilance Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu today arrested Akali Dal(Badal) leader and former Chairman of Markfed Jarnail Singh Wahid from his native cillage Khurampur PS Sadar Phagwara.
The Vigilance sleuths raided the house of Jarnail Singh and took Wahid, his wife Rupinder Kaur and his son Sandeep Singh @ Sunny to Vigilance Bureau office Jalandhar.
Jarnail Singh Wahid was a partner in Golden Sandhar Sugar Mill Phagwara Distt Kapurthala. Phagwara Sugar Mill owes Rs.92 crores of sugar cane farmers.
