Kamal Gupta distributed plot possession certificates to 383 Poor Families in Hisar

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, June 10 -
Haryana Health Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta announced that under the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana, eligible families who are not allotted plots for any reason will be given one lakh rupees for purchasing a plot.
Dr. Kamal Gupta was distributing 100-square-yard plot possession certificates to eligible families under the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana at a district-level ceremony held in Hisar today. He participated as the chief guest during the program at Hisar and distributed plot possession certificates to 383 poor families under the scheme.
He said that the state government has been continuously doing commendable work for the upliftment of every section of society for the past nearly nine and a half years. Providing basic facilities like food, clothing, and housing to people is the first responsibility of the government. The government has implemented numerous schemes for the upliftment of poor people, such as the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and the Swachh Bharat-Swasth Bharat initiative. As a result, their standard of living is continuously improving.
He said that the previous government that started the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana had promised to give 100-square-yard plots to eligible families, but in reality, possession of the plots was not provided. Now, the present state government is working to ensure that the eligible families under this scheme receive possession of the plots. Our sole aim is to improve the standard of living of poor families, said the Minister.
Dr. Gupta stated that in 2014, there were only 2.5 crore bank accounts in various banks across the country. Now, this number has increased to 45 crores. Through these accounts, every eligible family is being provided the full benefits of every scheme.
