Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak today initiated the work of Sewerage cleaning in the Pathankot City with the help of Super Suction Machines which would rid the people of the menace of clogged Sewerage. The Minister started the work at Daulatpur Dhaki.
Divulging more, the Minister said that the Punjab Government is undertaking special measures to mitigate the lot of each city especially the corporation cities which often face the problem clogged Sewerage leading to the emanation of foul smell. It is for the resolution of such problems that the project with regard to cleaning up the Sewerage in Pathankot City has been commenced today which would provide immense relief to the residents of the city.
Not only one or two wards but the Super Suction Machines would be made use of to clean up the entire city at a cost of Rs. 1 crore, said the Minister adding the construction of main Sewerage line and Sewerage treatment has begun at Sujanpur too with the cost of Rs. 34 Crore. Besides, the project of Sewerage Treatment Plant has also seen commencement at Narot Jaimal Singh.
