Lawrence Bishnoi associate Karamveer Singh was detained by the Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) after being deported from Canada and arriving at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. The action is part of an ongoing crackdown on gangsters and their associates operating from foreign countries.
According to police officials, Karamveer Singh is accused of providing shelter and logistical support to Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, during his stay in the United States. Investigators believe he played a key role in facilitating Anmol’s movements and maintaining links within the gang’s overseas network.
The AGTF had issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Karamveer Singh on September 3, 2026. He is wanted in a case registered at the State Crime Police Station in Mohali under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Arms Act and the Passport Act.
Police said preliminary investigations revealed that Karamveer arranged safe accommodation and logistical assistance for Anmol Bishnoi in the US.
Authorities are now examining his role in the international operations of the Bishnoi gang and identifying individuals who may have worked with him abroad.
Officials added that Karamveer has a criminal history and has been linked to several cases, including murder, attempt to murder, robbery, extortion and offences under the Arms Act.
Following his detention, the AGTF is expected to intensify its probe into his past criminal activities as well as his alleged connections with foreign-based gangsters, as Punjab Police continues efforts to dismantle the international networks supporting organized crime.
