A leopard entered a residential property in Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, and killed a cow after sneaking into the house late at night. The entire attack was captured on CCTV, showing the predator scaling a wall before targeting the animal in the courtyard.

The footage shows the leopard approaching the sleeping cow, which wakes up after sensing the animal's presence. Within moments, the leopard grabs the cow by the neck. The cow struggles to fight back, but the leopard overpowers it by tightening its grip until the animal succumbs to the attack.

According to villagers, the incident occurred around 12:22 a.m. on Thursday night in Upla Wadala village. CCTV footage from the residence of Shiv Temple manager Pandit Gyan Chand and his grandson Chandan Sharma shows the leopard first walking along the link road before climbing the boundary wall about four minutes later and roaming inside the courtyard.

Despite the cow's loud cries during the attack, the family members did not wake up in time, allowing the leopard to kill its prey.

After receiving information, officials from the Wildlife Department reached the spot to inspect the scene. Dr. Poonam Sharma from the Datarpur Veterinary Hospital conducted the post-mortem examination of the animal.

The incident has sparked fear among residents, with villagers expressing concern over the leopard's movement inside a populated residential area and urging authorities to strengthen monitoring and safety measures.
