Local bodies minister inaugurates different projects worth over Rs 120CR in Ludhiana

Projects inaugurated to construct Lohara bridge; dispose off legacy waste from Jamalpur dump site and Jainpur site of civic body

In a boon for the city, Local Bodies minister Dr Ravjot Singh inaugurated different development projects worth over Rs 120 crore in the city on Monday.

Projects have been inaugurated for construction of Lohara bridge over Sidhwan canal and for disposing off the accumulated legacy waste at Jamalpur dump site (around 19.62 lakh metric tonnes) and Jainpur site (over 2 lakh metric tonnes) of the civic body. The estimated cost of these projects is around Rs 120 crore.

Firstly, cabinet minister Dr Ravjot Singh alongwith Ludhiana South MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina and MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal inaugurated the project to construct bridge (Lohara bridge) over Sidhwan canal in Lohara area. The bridge would be constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 12.50 crore.
