Addressing the media here at Chandigarh today, Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa and Sukhpal Singh Khaira MLA and Former Leader of Opposition lambasted CM Bhagwant Mann for being hatefully vindictive towards him and his family and for misusing the police machinery to quench his thirst.
Explaining the chain of vendetta unleashed against Khaira for being a vocal critic of CM and his government Bajwa said CM Bhagwant Mann and his army of 92 AAP bonded labour MLA’s have repeatedly and publically exhibited their vindictive hatred towards Khaira both within and outside the Vidhan Sabha.
Khaira said the first FIR No. 3 dated 14.09.2022 PS Punjab state Crime Mohali was registered against him for merely tweeting against the Bhagwant Mann led government. Thereafter, he ordered the Vigilance Bureau to investigate one of his small piece of land purchased long back in 1997. Unable to fix him through the Vigilance Bureau, the CM coerced SDM Bholath to make a frivolous complaint against him for holding a peaceful Dharna at Bholath on 10.04.2023 on the issue of wheat crop losses. As a result he said a FIR No. 25 dated 27.04.2023 PS Bholath under bailable sections was filed against him in order to gag and intimidate his voice.
Bajwa said the real injury to Bhagwant Mann CM and his government was caused the moment Khaira met the Governor Punjab on 01.05.2023 to hand over two obscene video clips of Lal Chand Kataruchak Minister for his sexual misconduct. Instead of acting against his tainted Minister CM ordered addition of non bailable charges in the said FIR No. 25 so that they could arrest Khaira.
Bajwa said once Khaira got anticipatory bail in bogus FIR No. 25 the CM once again misused DSP and SHO Bholath to file yet another FIR No. 30 under nonbailable sections on 11.05.2023 to a 37 years old matter related to his ancestral land. Khaira said the said FIR was never updated on the Kapurthala police website so that they could quietly have him arrested. Khaira said the worst part is that CM Bhagwant Mann did not spare his wife and his late father S. Sukhjinder Singh ji who too were named in the said vindictive FIR.
Khaira said he was forced to move the High Court of Punjab and Haryana that granted him and his family members protection for their life and liberty (copy of High Court order attached) and thanked the almighty Waheguru and the people of Punjab for their prayers. Khaira said he will not be threatened, intimidated and cowed down by these blatantly false cases and the vendetta drive unleashed upon him and his family by the CM and vowed to continue his crusade for the state of Punjab with the same vigor.
