In a fresh revision of fuel prices, the cost of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has increased across the country, affecting commercial and small domestic use cylinders. However, domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged.
According to the latest update, the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders has been increased significantly by ₹993. The 5-kg LPG cylinders have also become costlier, with an increase of ₹261. The blue-coloured commercial cylinders are widely used by hotels, restaurants, and businesses.
In Delhi, the new price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will now be ₹3,071.50 starting from May 1.
Meanwhile, despite the rise in international crude oil and fuel prices, state-run oil marketing companies have decided to keep retail prices of petrol, diesel, and domestic LPG cylinders unchanged. Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices have also been left steady.
Officials said the decision aims to protect airlines and consumers from volatility in global energy markets while maintaining price stability in essential fuels
