Punjab Police, in a joint operation with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Valsad Police, has arrested three accused in connection with the murder of Punjabi social media influencer and LGBTQ supporter Madhusudan, popularly known as ‘Mad Sandhu’. The police are preparing to bring the accused to Punjab for further investigation.

According to a statement issued by the Gujarat ATS, the arrested accused have been identified as Harsimranjit Singh alias Simu Singga, Fateh Singh and Arman Singh. They were apprehended from Vapi city in Gujarat’s Valsad district on Saturday.

The operation was carried out jointly by the Gujarat ATS and Valsad Special Operations Group (SOG) after senior Punjab Police officials shared crucial information about the suspects. Following their interrogation, a Punjab Police team reached Valsad on Saturday and took the three accused into custody after completing the necessary legal formalities.

Earlier, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch had arrested alleged shooter Parminder Kaka, also known as Parminder Prasad, on Thursday. According to the police, he is allegedly associated with the Goldy Dhillon gang and had fled to Gujarat after the murder to evade arrest.

Mad Sandhu was shot dead on October 3 in the Loharka Road area of Amritsar. According to the police, he had arrived at a car washing centre to get his vehicle cleaned when two masked men riding a motorcycle opened fire on him.

The assailants fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Mad Sandhu was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police have also examined CCTV footage and other digital evidence as part of the investigation. Further investigation is underway to establish the roles of the accused and determine the circumstances surrounding the murder.
