A man was found murdered in Faridkot on Saturday morning, with his body recovered near Giani Zail Singh Market on Sadiq Road. The victim has not yet been identified, and police have launched an investigation into the case.
According to police, passersby noticed the body lying in the market area and alerted authorities. A team from City Police Station-2, along with SP City Narendra Singh, reached the spot and began a probe.
The deceased had sustained serious head injuries, and blood was found scattered around the body. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was attacked with a heavy object, leading to his death.
Police officials said local residents informed them that the man was frequently seen in the area and was believed to be living nearby. However, his identity and family details remain unknown.
SP City Narendra Singh said efforts are underway to identify the victim and trace those responsible for the murder. Further investigations are in progress.
