Dharamkot Assembly constituency in Punjab's Moga district has secured the first position in the state by becoming the earliest constituency to successfully complete the Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign.
In recognition of this achievement, Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Anindita Mitra honoured Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) Gurvinder Singh Johal for his outstanding leadership, effective planning, and the dedicated efforts of the entire election team.
Expressing gratitude, ERO Gurvinder Singh Johal described the completion of the SIR exercise as a significant milestone. He said the accomplishment was made possible under the guidance of Moga Deputy Commissioner Sagar Setia. Johal also thanked the district administration, supervisors, Booth Level Officers (BLOs), and all officials and staff associated with the campaign for their commitment and hard work.
Deputy Commissioner Sagar Setia congratulated Johal and the election machinery, stating that Dharamkot becoming the first Assembly constituency in Punjab to complete the SIR process is a matter of pride for the entire Moga district.
He said the achievement reflects the strong teamwork, dedication, and efficient management of the election staff. Setia praised the ERO, election officials, BLOs, supervisors, and all personnel involved in the campaign for their exemplary performance.
