Punjab Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat on Wednesday held a review meeting with senior officials of the department to assess the progress of various matters related to ex-servicemen and their families.
During the meeting, Bhagat reviewed the welfare initiatives being implemented by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He directed officials to ensure the timely disposal of all matters concerning ex-servicemen and to expedite the implementation of welfare schemes and facilities.
The Cabinet Minister emphasised that ex-servicemen have dedicated their lives to safeguarding the nation and said that addressing their concerns remains a priority for the state government.
He further directed the department officials to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every eligible ex-serviceman and their family without unnecessary delay.
