AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang on Monday visited the Khanauri Border to meet farmers' leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike. Expressing grave concern for Dallewal's health, Kang criticized the Modi-led central government for its indifference toward the farmers' demands.
Speaking to the media, Kang highlighted the critical situation of Jagjit Singh Dallewal, a senior and respected farmers' leader who has been on hunger strike for the past 21 days. He pointed out that even the Supreme Court has expressed concern over Dallewal’s deteriorating health, yet the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi remain unresponsive to the plight of farmers. Kang urged the government to recognize the severity of the situation and initiate talks with farmers to resolve their demands.
"The farmers' demands are legitimate and must be addressed without delay. The Modi government should provide a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) and deliver justice in the Lakhimpur Kheri case," Kang stated.
Lashing out at BJP leaders for their undemocratic attitude towards farmers, Kang emphasized the right of every citizen to peacefully protest.
