Punjab Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Monday handed over appointment letters to 52 newly recruited employees of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department at a function held at Punjab Bhawan.

Congratulating the newly appointed employees, Mundian said the recruitment would strengthen the department’s human resource capacity and give further momentum to development works across the state. He stressed that adequate manpower was essential for the efficient functioning of the department and timely execution of water supply and sanitation projects.

Minister said appointment letters had been issued to 52 candidates for Group B, C and D posts under the Punjab Government’s compassionate appointment policy and through direct recruitment. The appointees include 2 Junior Engineers, 2 Junior Technicians, 9 Clerks, 33 Peons, 5 Safai Sewaks and 1 Daftari Chowkidar.

Mundian urged the newly appointed employees to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and a strong sense of public service. =
