The Energy Minister administers the oath of Office and Secrecy
Mukesh Garg also takes the oath as a member

Haryana Energy Minister Ranjit Singh, today administered the oath of Office and Secrecy to the newly appointed Chairman of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC), Sh. Nand Lal Sharma in a ceremony held here today. Besides this, he also administered the oath to the newly appointed member of HERC Mukesh Garg.The Energy Minister extended congratulations and best wishes to the families and well-wishers of both.
Notably, Nand Lal Sharma served as the Executive Director, SJVN for three years. He held the position of Secretary at Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board for three years. On December 1, 2017, he took charge as the Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN Limited, Shimla. From July 1, 2023, he also assumed an additional charge as the Chairman of BBMB. He has nearly 18 years of experience in the power sector and 16 years of experience in law and administration.
Mukesh Garg has worked as a lawyer in Jagadhri District Court, Yamunanagar, for 35 years from 1986 to 2021. During this period, he also served as a permanent advisor for various prestigious organizations. On June 1, 2021, he served as a member at the Haryana State Law Commission.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by the Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department, Sh. A. K. Singh, Managing Director, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited, Sh. Mohammed Shayin, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, and Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Managing Director, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, Sh. P.C. Meena, Chairman, Bhakra Beas Management Board, Sh. Manoj Tripathi and other officers and family members of the newly appointed Chairman and Member.
