Necessary Guidelines Issued for Sending Stray Cattle to Shelters

Govt Approves Rs 70 Crore Budget for Gaushala Expansion and New Facilities

Chairman Haryana Gau Seva Aayog Shravan Kumar Garg said that the primary objective of the State Govt and the Gau Seva Aayog is to provide financial assistance to Gaushalas for ensuring proper living arrangements, treatment, green fodder, and clean water for cattle.

During a meeting held in Jind, Garg instructed officers to organize a meeting with representatives of Nandishalas and Gaushalas. He emphasized the importance of creating an action plan to ensure that stray cattle are sent to Nandishalas and Gaushalas. He stated that the goal is to provide all necessary facilities to the cattle by coordinating with other Gau Sevak Committees. He said that the Aayog is encouraging Gaushalas to become financially self-reliant. The govt has approved a budget of Rs 70 crore for the expansion of existing Gaushalas.

Garg mentioned that the state govt is developing various schemes to ensure the welfare of cows, pledging that no cow will face any difficulties. He instructed officials of the Animal Husbandry Department to tag every cattle, and to verify and process grant proposals submitted by Gaushalas within a week to ensure timely assistance.
