Saini issues key instructions during meeting with officials

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the ongoing development works in the state’s Gram Panchayats should be completed in a planned manner within the stipulated timeframe. He said that officials must ensure the benefits of public welfare schemes effectively reach every eligible person at the grassroots level. For this, he directed that the progress of development works be reviewed every 15 days.
The Chief Minister was chairing a review meeting with Additional Deputy Commissioners, Chief Executive Officers of Zila Parishads, District Development and Panchayat Officers and Executive Engineers of the Panchayati Raj Department regarding various schemes of the Development and Panchayat Department and the Rural Development Department here today. Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh Krishan Lal Panwar was also present on the occasion.
Saini directed that Gram Sabha meetings be convened in Gram Panchayats to expedite the regularization of unauthorized houses constructed on Shamlat land up to 500 square yards. He further instructed that announcements be made in Gram Panchayats to raise awareness among eligible beneficiaries. The Chief Minister added that Gram Sabha meetings should be held within the next three weeks to ensure timely settlement of cases under this scheme, and that registrations for approved cases be completed without delay in districts where approvals have already been granted.
Errors in the Swamitva Yojana to be corrected through camps
The Chief Minister directed that beneficiaries who have been issued Adhikar Patra under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2.0, but whose registrations remain pending for any reason, must have their registrations completed within the next one month. He further instructed that separate camps be organized under the Swamitva Yojana to rectify errors, ensure the accuracy of maps, and submit a detailed report to the Financial Commissioner, Revenue.
Ensure proper utilization of State Finance Commission Grants
Reviewing the utilization of grants released to Zila Parishads under the State Finance Commission over the past four years, the Chief Minister said that development works should be executed on priority within the prescribed timeframe. He directed officials to ensure 100% utilization of available funds and to strengthen monitoring through Panchayat Samiti meetings, which must be held every two months.
Officials directed to ensure coordination on development projects
Saini said that officials must work in close coordination with other departments to ensure the timely completion of various development projects and schemes. He stressed that the quality of all development works must be maintained and that construction materials should be inspected at regular intervals. With regard to the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) Solid Waste Management Sheds, the Chief Minister instructed districts with pending projects to prepare a plan and complete them at the earliest.
SOP for Drone Didi to be prepared
The Chief Minister directed that repair and renovation of Mahila Chaupals and SC/BC Chaupals across the state be completed within two months. He further instructed officials to prepare a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Drone Didi and to draw up a time-bound action plan to achieve the objectives of Lakhpati Didi.
Land to be identified for Sanjha Bazaars
Under the Sanjha Bazaar Scheme, the Chief Minister directed officials to identify land in districts where Sanjha Bazaars have not yet been established. He highlighted that the government’s focus is on promoting the "local for vocal" initiative, thereby enabling local artisans to gain recognition and opportunities. Furthermore, a deadline has been set for opening self-help group canteens. He also directed that detailed plans for projects under the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana be submitted. All ongoing development works under the scheme be expedited and completed at the earliest.
Priority on Beautification and Cleanliness of Ponds under Amrit Sarovar Yojana
The Chief Minister directed officials to prioritize and expedite road repair works, ensuring that white strips is carried out on time with strict attention to quality. He also instructed that road signage be properly maintained. Emphasizing the beautification and cleanliness of ponds constructed under the Amrit Sarovar Yojana, he urged timely completion of related works such as footpaths, benches, and tree plantation. Furthermore, to expedite the Shivdham renovation project, he directed officials to hold regular review meetings and expedite the completion of the work.
