During Congress rule, even FIRs were not registered; today immediate action is ensured
Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini strongly criticized the opposition, saying it should stop politicizing the Manisha case. He said the opposition is trying to mislead the public by creating unnecessary uproar, even though the issue has already been listed in the Question Hour for discussion. The Chief Minister said that in the case of the Bhiwani daughter, the police acted promptly and strict action has been taken against the culprits.
The Chief Minister was reacting to the disruption of Assembly proceedings by the opposition during the Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
Saini said there is a vast difference between the Congress regime and the present BJP government. Under Congress rule, the law and order situation was worse. Even FIRs were not even registered, forcing victims to run from pillar to post. In contrast, today swift and strict action is taken without delay.
He said that today the opposition is pretending, while the public remembers the misdeeds of the Congress very well. He further pointed out that some young MLAs have been elected to this House this time who perhaps do not even realize how shameful and pathetic the law and order situation was in the state during the Congress rule.
