Punjab Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat on Saturday said that the Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation (PESCO) had made significant progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, providing employment to more than 5,000 personnel over the past year.
On the occasion of PESCO’s 48th Raising Day, being observed on October 10, the Minister extended his warm greetings and best wishes to all employees and members of the corporation.
Bhagat also congratulated PESCO Chairman Maj. (Dr.) Gurcharan Singh, Principal Secretary, Defence Services Welfare, Sumer Singh Gurjar, Managing Director PESCO Maj. Gen. Harmandeep Singh (Retd.), and all employees of the corporation for their dedicated and sincere services to the state.
Wishing the PESCO team continued success and prosperity in the coming year, the Cabinet Minister reaffirmed the Punjab Government’s commitment to strengthening the corporation and expanding employment opportunities for ex-servicemen.
He said the state government remains committed to ensuring the welfare, dignity and economic security of ex-servicemen and their families. He added that PESCO would continue to play an important role in supporting former defence personnel by facilitating employment and contributing to their rehabilitation and well-being.
