Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday was marked by celebrations and events across several parts of the country on Wednesday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Anupriya Patel, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde flagged off a motorcycle rally from Vadnagar to Varanasi. The participants will travel through seven states and several villages, carrying a message highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years of public life and service.
Members of the Muslim community also celebrated the Prime Minister’s birthday. Women cut a cake and distributed sweets, while also reciting verses from the Quran and offering prayers for Prime Minister Modi’s long life. Children of the participants also joined the celebrations.
Special celebrations were held at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi to mark the Prime Minister’s 76th birthday. Vedic students performed traditional rituals and played damrus as part of the program, which was organised in accordance with Vedic traditions.
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi also extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Modi, wishing him good health and a long life. Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also conveyed his greetings, wishing the Prime Minister a healthy, active and meaningful life.
A music video titled “Aashirwad Ka Diya”, dedicated to Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years of public life and service, was also released. The music has been composed by Aman Pant, while singer Sneha Shankar has lent her voice to the song.
In Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta performed a havan at the Shri Khatu Shyam Temple on GT Karnal Road as part of the birthday observances.
