Khanna Police have busted an alleged prostitution racket operating under the guise of spa centres in the city's City Centre area. During the operation, police arrested six foreign women and a spa manager, while two spa centre operators managed to flee before the raids.
According to police, they had been receiving continuous complaints that certain spa centres in the City Centre were allegedly being used for illegal activities. Acting on these inputs, the City-2 Police Station carried out a planned raid at three spa centres.
During the inspection, police alleged that the establishments were involved in running a prostitution racket by exploiting women under the cover of spa services. The six foreign women and the manager were taken into custody and are currently being questioned as part of the investigation.
Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the absconding operators has been identified as Captain Singh, a resident of Ambala, Haryana, while the other has been identified as Manoj. Both fled before the police action began.
Police have registered a case against the two accused under relevant legal provisions and formed special teams to trace and arrest them. Further investigation is underway to determine the full extent of the alleged network and identify any additional individuals involved.
