A shocking murder case has emerged from Thuthianwali village in Punjab's Mansa district, where a 22-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly killed by her husband over suspicion of an extramarital affair. The victim, Simarjit Kaur, was carrying twins at the time of the attack.

According to the police and the victim's family, Simarjit had married a youth from Burj Rathi village in a love marriage, which was later solemnized with the consent of both families through Anand Karaj. She had been staying at her parental home in Thuthianwali village for her delivery.

Family members alleged that Simarjit's husband suspected her of having an illicit relationship. Late on Friday night, he allegedly arrived at her parents' house, called her outside the room, and attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon by slitting her throat. She died on the spot due to the injuries.

The accused fled the scene immediately after the incident. Police reached the spot, took the body into custody, and initiated legal proceedings. A manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused, while investigators continue to probe the case.

The victim's uncle, Mewa Singh, and cousin, Mandeep Singh, have demanded strict action against the accused and appealed to the Punjab Police to ensure justice for Simarjit Kaur and her unborn twin babies.
