Senior BJP leaders from Punjab, Preneet Kaur and Jai Inder Kaur, expressed their sincere gratitude to the Railway Ministry and the Central Government for the allocation of 5,421 crore to Punjab as part of the Union Budget 2025-26, aimed at strengthening the state’s rail infrastructure.
Mrs. Preneet Kaur said, “We are grateful to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav ji and the Central Government for this year’s railway budget allocation to Punjab, which is a massive 24 times more than what Punjab received between during UPA-2, which was only 225 crore."
She further said, "The redevelopment of Patiala Railway Station with 47.51 crore is a key example of how the Central Government is investing in Punjab’s rail infrastructure. With the station near completion, passengers will soon experience world-class facilities. Additionally, the development of 30 Amrit Bharat Stations across Punjab, at a cost of 1,122 crore, is a testament to the government’s commitment to modernization and improved connectivity for the people.”
