In a major administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government on Tuesday transferred 20 police officers, including 8 IPS and 12 PPS officers. The move includes the transfer of Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) in six districts—Malerkotla, Pathankot, Patiala, Mohali, Bathinda and Mansa.
As part of the reshuffle, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP), Border Range, Amritsar. Bathinda SSP Jyoti Yadav has been shifted and posted as Commander, 82nd Battalion PAP, Chandigarh.
SSPs Appointed in Six Districts
Varun Sharma (IPS 2014) has been appointed SSP, Mohali. He was previously serving as SSP, Patiala.
Vaibhav Chaudhary (IPS 2020) has been appointed SSP, Mansa. He was serving as SP Headquarters, Patiala.
Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh (PPS) has been posted as SSP, Malerkotla, replacing Gurmeet Singh.
Manpreet Singh (PPS) has been appointed SSP, Pathankot, replacing Daljinder Singh Dhillon.
Harmandeep Singh Hans (IPS 2015) has been posted as SSP, Patiala after serving in Mohali.
Suhail Qasim Mir (IPS 2017) has been appointed SSP, Bathinda. He was earlier posted as AIG, Personnel-1, CPO Punjab.
The reshuffle is being viewed as a significant step in the Punjab Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative and policing efficiency across the state.
