Punjab Government on Thursday ordered the transfer and posting of three senior IAS officers with immediate effect as part of an administrative reshuffle. The orders were issued by the Department of Personnel under the approval of the Governor of Punjab.

According to the notification, IAS officer Anurag Verma (1993 batch), who was serving as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management, has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare. He will also hold the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Transport.

Jaspreet Talwar (1995 batch), who was serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Planning, and holding additional charges of Mines & Geology and Justice, has been transferred as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management. She will continue to hold the additional charges of Mines & Geology and Justice.

Arshdeep Singh Thind (2004 batch), Administrative Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, has been posted as Administrative Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayats. He will also take over as Administrative Secretary, Planning, while continuing to hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Horticulture.

The government has directed all officers concerned to assume charge of their new assignments immediately. The transfer orders came into effect from September 17, 2026.
