AAP Punjab President Aman Arora highlighted the success of the Punjab Government's anti-drug campaign 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' and shared several key updates with the media.
On Wednesday, during a press conference at the party office in Chandigarh, Aman Arora stated that the Punjab Government is committed to completely eradicating drugs from the state. The anti- drug campaign has achieved remarkable success and is receiving widespread support from the public.
Sharing details about the campaign, Arora revealed that the 'War Against Drugs' campaign began on March 1. Within just four days, by March 4, police registered 580 FIRs under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) and arrested 789 drug peddlers. Furthermore, approximately 74 kg of heroin, 19.5 kg of opium, and 77 kg of synthetic drugs have been seized, amounting to a total recovery of about 170 kg of drugs in just four days.
Speaking about the crackdown on gangsters and smugglers, Arora said that between February 25 and March 1, Punjab Police registered 61 FIRs against gangsters and smugglers in districts including Amritsar, Amritsar Rural, Moga, Tarn Taran, and Ferozepur alone.
