Inaugurates seminar on “Care & Cure of Domestic Animals with Recent Advances in Diagnosis”

In a groundbreaking move towards animal welfare, the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government has announced a statewide initiative to provide free tetanus toxoid vaccination for all equines—horses, donkeys and mules.

 Announcing this here today, Gurmeet Singh Khudian, cabinet minister, informed that the Animal Husbandry department will soon launch a drive to administer tetanus toxoid vaccine to all horses, donkeys, and mules, while directing the department officials to make all the necessary arrangements to roll out the drive for safeguarding the health and well-being of equines.

The Cabinet Minister was addressing a seminar on “Care & Cure of Domestic Animals with Recent Advances in Diagnosis” organised under the ASCAD scheme by the Animal Husbandry department at Kisan Bhawan here.
