Punjab Police, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), continued its statewide crackdown on gangster networks under the ongoing 'war against gangster' campaign, carrying out extensive raids across identified and mapped locations in Punjab.
According to the police, 674 raids were conducted during the latest operation, leading to the arrest of 382 individuals. The drive also resulted in the apprehension of five proclaimed offenders, while two illegal weapons were recovered during the searches.
The police said the campaign has significantly intensified efforts to dismantle organised criminal networks operating across the state. With the latest action, the total number of arrests under the 'Gangstran Te Vaar' campaign has reached 42,160 since its launch.
Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to eliminating gangster networks and maintaining law and order across the state. The force also urged citizens to support the campaign by sharing information anonymously through the Anti-Gangster Helpline (93946-93946).
