Punjab Government has signed a ₹29 crore MoU with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) to set up Startup Punjab Hub – Neuron 2.0 at STPI Mohali.

Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Aman Arora witnessed the signing of the agreement at Udyog Bhawan. The project will receive ₹12 crore in support from the Punjab Government, while STPI will contribute ₹17 crore.

The new technology incubation centre will focus on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data analytics, IoT and audio-visual graphics. A dedicated cybersecurity lab will also be established.

Arora said Neuron 2.0 aims to nurture at least 50 startups and train 2,000 professionals over the next five years. He added that the initiative will provide incubation, mentoring, advanced infrastructure, skill development and industry linkages to emerging startups.

He said the collaboration with STPI reflects the state government’s commitment to promoting technology-driven entrepreneurship, creating jobs and preparing Punjab’s youth for future opportunities.
