Punjab is likely to experience dry weather over the coming days, with sunny conditions and no significant chances of rainfall. However, temperatures are expected to remain close to normal, according to data released by the Meteorological Centre.
Weather experts said fresh snowfall in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh is likely to influence weather conditions in Punjab. Despite the dry spell, temperatures are not expected to witness any major fluctuations, as winds blowing down from the hills may help keep the mercury under control.
According to weather observations, minimum temperatures recorded on Saturday and Sunday night witnessed a slight decline, while the maximum temperature during the day on Sunday rose marginally by 0.1 degrees Celsius. Overall, temperatures across the state remained close to seasonal norms.
The forecast indicates that dry conditions will continue across Punjab, with neither rainfall nor significant cloud cover expected in the coming days. Districts bordering Himachal Pradesh are likely to experience temperatures around normal levels, while some districts adjoining Rajasthan may see a slight rise in mercury.
Weather experts said that if snowfall continues in the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab could witness a marginal drop in temperatures in the coming days. However, no major change in weather conditions is expected in the immediate future.
