NEW DELHI: Punjab got their Ranji Trophy season back on track after completing a resounding 10-wicket victory over Delhi here today. Punjab garnered seven points, including a bonus point, to go second in the Group B table with a total of nine points. Punjab's win was built on skipper Mandeep Singh's 180-ball 90 in the first innings. On a wicket where batsmen from both sides struggled, he was the only one to play an assured knock.

With Delhi tottering at 106/6 at stumps on Thursday, the result was never in doubt. Punjab only needed five runs to win after Delhi’s second innings finished at 179. Punjab openers Jiwanjot Sharma and Abhishek Sharma completed the formality in a little over two overs.
