Several parts of eight districts in Himachal Pradesh are likely to receive rain and snowfall on October 24 and 25 due to an active western disturbance, according to the Meteorological Centre in Shimla.

On Friday, the state capital, Shimla, and its adjoining areas witnessed sunshine with partly cloudy skies.

The weather department has forecast light rain and snowfall at isolated places across the state on October 24 and 25. However, dry weather is expected to prevail throughout Himachal Pradesh from October 26 to 29.

The department has also predicted fluctuations in temperatures over the next few days. Minimum temperatures are likely to rise by 2–3 degrees Celsius in several parts of the state over the next 24 hours.

Following this, minimum temperatures may drop by 2–4 degrees Celsius over the subsequent two to three days. Maximum temperatures are also expected to fall by 2–5 degrees Celsius in several parts of the state after the next 24 hours.

Residents, particularly those in higher-altitude areas, may experience colder conditions as temperatures decline following the expected change in weather.
