Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring met newly appointed Punjab Congress in-charge Sachin Pilot in New Delhi on Monday. It was Warring’s first meeting with Pilot since the latter was given charge of Punjab affairs.
The leaders reportedly discussed preparations for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, strengthening the party organisation and formulating the Congress’ electoral strategy. Congress leaders Kulbir Singh Zira and MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla also met Pilot.
The meeting is also believed to have covered the current political situation in Punjab and the party’s upcoming programs. Coincidentally, Monday was also Pilot’s birthday. Warring extended his warm wishes to him on the occasion.
According to sources, Sachin Pilot is likely to visit Punjab soon.
