Luxury SUV maker Range Rover has unveiled the all-electric version of its popular Range Rover Sport for the first time. The new electric SUV retains the sporty character of the Range Rover Sport while combining high performance with everyday practicality.
Soon after its global unveiling, official bookings for the Range Rover Sport Electric have also opened in India. The SUV is expected to arrive in the Indian market in 2027.
The Range Rover Sport Electric comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup that produces 550hp of maximum power and 850Nm of peak torque. According to the company, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, matching the acceleration figure of the V8-powered Range Rover Sport.
The electric SUV is equipped with a 118.5kWh battery pack and offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 609km on a single full charge. This long driving range is aimed at making the premium electric SUV suitable for both daily use and longer journeys.
The Range Rover Sport Electric also comes with fast-charging capability, allowing users to replenish the battery more quickly during long-distance travel. With its combination of performance, range and luxury, the model is positioned as an electric alternative to the existing Range Rover Sport lineup.
