Rotary Club Shimla organised a Mega Workshop focused on anti-ragging campaign and combating drug abuse today at Himachal Pradesh University Shimla which is an initiative towards alarming problem of substance usage by youth in Shimla.

Over 500 students attended the workshop at the University auditorium.This workshop was conducted in association with ‘Vyaktitva Foundation’.

Major Vikas Kadsholi, expert in the area of Education and Kulpreet Saini, mental health coach working in the area of de-addiction for more than a decade were the keynote speakers during the workshop.
Also, founder of Vyaktitva and program Director Arunima Sharma briefed about the workshop.

This interactive & skill based workshop is to strengthen the protective factors to prevent substance use and mitigate the risk factors preventively. Also, motivational talk on building an impactful career and stay away from provoking reels and other entertainment sources was main attraction of the workshop. Dr. Mamta Mokta, Dean students welfare, HPU highly appreciated this initiative by Rotary Club Shimla, focusing on the youth on this concerning issue.

President Rotary Club Shimla Saurabh Raj Sood informed that these workshops are being conducted after taking permission from Directorate of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh by Vyaktitva Foundation.
