Sacrifice of Sahibzadas of Shri Guru Gobind Singh to be commemorated as Veer Bal Diwas

State-Level Function in Kurukshetra on December 26

Dharmshastra Kurukshetra is not only historically significant due to its association with the Mahabharata but also as a place where the feet of Sikh Gurus, from Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, have graced the holy land. Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi had declared the martyrdom day of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, sons of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, as Veer Bal Diwas.

In this context, the Haryana Government under the leadership of CM Nayab Singh Saini has decided to commemorate Veer Bal Diwas as a state-level event at Gurdwara Chhathi Patshahi on the sacred land of Kurukshetra.

Sharing this information here, an official spokesperson said that CM will attend the event as the chief guest, to pay tribute to the Sahibzadas and honorur their sacrifices. He informed that many programmes including seminars based on the sacrifice of Sahibzadas will be organized on Veer Bal Diwas in all the government universities of the state. Youth will be specially connected with these programmes.
